Chad Will - artist relations/producer/dj
Aliases: Ex-Chitown Patriot, Bassmint (w/ Carl Joachim), Eudaemonic (w/ Carl Joachim and Bo Johnson)
Born in central Wisconsin and then spending his teen years outside of Chicago, Chad Will has been around music his entire life. Learning piano at the early age of three, and then later learning clarinet and saxophone, Chad’s parents believed that music was an integral part of childhood learning. Taking highly to jazz and modern classical music gives Chad the depth and power to make catchy yet musical dance tracks.
Chad’s mother raised him on pop music in the 80’s and Chad later discovered early industrial and big-beat. Being exposed to house music in the mid-nineties aided Chad in his full conversion to electronic music. Chad learned to DJ and had quite a bit of success early on. Moving to Boston in the late spring of 2000 exposed Chad to a new world and many new friends. Amongst these people that Chad met were Carl Joachim, Sean Hanrahan, and Bo Johnson – whom would all later become the Bassmint family.
Chad’s production career was launched in spring of 2005 with his highly acclaimed remix of Danny Howell’s, “Breathe” (CR2 Records). Chad also followed this success up with another remix for his friend’s label, Bound Records. Later that year Chad and Carl began producing together and lauched their first release “Playin Hooky” on Slanted House Recordings. Following the success of their first release, Carl and Chad decided it was time to make their impact on the scene through Bassmint.
